Ricardo Bours has extensive experience helping U.S. clients acquire real estate in Mexico with comprehensive due diligence and scrupulous adherence to appropriate legal procedures. His office also represents U.S. clients with business interests in Mexico, providing them with expert legal advice, local contacts, and professional preparation of all necessary formal documentation. Mr. Bours' extensive knowledge of both Mexican and U.S. legal regimes, customs and practices makes it possible for his clients to conduct their business affairs in Mexico confidently, successfully and amicably.

  • Represented U.S. companies and individuals acquiring real estate property in Mexico under civil and agrarian regimes (“ejidos”).
  • Represented developers of real estate in Mexico including small and large condominium projects.
  • Performed due diligence title searches in diverse acquisition models concerning Mexican real estate properties.
  • Represented corporate clients and foreign individuals in civil and commercial litigation in Mexico.
  • Expert witness in an export/import commercial matter in Maricopa Superior Court.
  • Expert witness in federal, Arizona and New Mexico courts regarding constitutional and real estate disputes.

U.S. Domestic Law Field

  • Represented clients in state and federal courts in Arizona regarding misdemeanor and felony crimes, including illegal reentry, narcotics and alien smuggling cases.
  • Represented individuals in municipal and justice courts in Arizona on DUI, domestic violence, assault, disorderly conduct, theft, drugs and other misdemeanor offenses.
  • Retained to act as expert witness in Mexican law. Expert witness in divorce cases pursued in Tucson, Arizona Superior Court.
